Hi! I’m Lucy, the illustrator behind Lula Rocks. I absolutely love working on commissions - whether it’s designing cute enamel pins, creating sticker artwork, or bringing someone’s idea to life with a personal illustration. If you love my style and are looking for something magical, I’d be delighted to work with you!

 

I offer both personal and commercial commissions, and I always aim to make the process clear, friendly, and enjoyable from start to finish.

Please note that I only take on commissions where the client is looking for my illustration style. I do not accept requests to copy another artist’s style.

Before submitting a Commission Request Form, please read the information below. If your project goes ahead, I’ll send over a quote and the full commission/licensing terms before any payment is made.

COMMERCIAL USE

For creators, small businesses, and indie brands who want to turn artwork into physical products.

Commercial commissions are suitable for things like enamel pins, stickers, bookmarks, sticker sheets, stationery, packaging, merchandise, and other product-based artwork.

Unless otherwise stated on your quote/invoice, commercial commission pricing includes my Standard Commercial Licence (Tier 1).

Standard Commercial Licence — Tier 1

Tier 1 allows you to:

• Manufacture and sell up to 100 units of the licensed design, for the agreed product type.
• Use the artwork to market that product, including on your website, social media, email, product listings, and ads.

Tier 1 does not allow you to:

• Manufacture more than 100 units without upgrading the licence.
• Use the artwork on other product types without written permission.
• Edit, redraw, recolour, crop, reuse, adapt, or create variations of the artwork without written permission.
• Transfer or sublicense the artwork, except sharing the files with your chosen manufacturer solely for production.

This is a non-exclusive licence, which means I retain copyright and may licence/create other artwork for other clients.

Need more than 100 units, exclusivity, or full ownership? Extended licensing options are available. Please mention your plans in your enquiry and I’ll send over the relevant options.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

For commercial commissions, you will receive:

• 1 original illustration per agreed concept.
• Production-ready files supplied in the agreed formats.
• Reasonable manufacturer adjustments, such as small line-weight tweaks or plating considerations, subject to approval.

 

PERSONAL USE

Designed for special gifts, personal artwork, tattoo designs, display pieces, or just because you fancy something unique.

Personal use commissions are not for commercial use. This means the artwork cannot be used to make products for sale, business branding, merchandise, marketing materials, or anything intended to generate income.

If you later decide you’d like to use a personal commission commercially, please contact me first so we can discuss whether a commercial licence is available.

Timeframe: typically 1 to 2 weeks once your commission is confirmed and the deposit is paid, depending on complexity and how quickly I receive feedback
Revisions: 1 at the sketch stage + 1 round of minor tweaks after the cleaned final artwork is supplied for review (colour tweaks, small detail changes)
File format: JPG or PNG unless another format is requested.
Licence: You may not sell, reproduce, or manufacture personal-use commissions.

 

💌 HOW TO BOOK

Commissions are open on a limited basis.

To request a commission, please fill out my Commission Request Form and tell me a little bit about your idea, what you’d like the artwork for, and whether it’s for personal or commercial use:

If your project is a good fit, I’ll send over the next steps, including your quote and the relevant terms/licensing information.

THE PROCESS

1. You submit a commission request.
2. I review the project and confirm whether it’s a good fit.
3. I send over a quote and the relevant terms.
4. A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your slot.
5. I create the initial sketch for approval.
6. I complete the final artwork.
7. The remaining balance is paid.
8. Final files are delivered once payment is received.

This is a simplified overview of how my commissions work. Full terms and licensing details will be provided with your quote before any payment is made.

💌 Communication & Timelines

I aim to respond to new commission enquiries within 3 to 5 working days.

Once your commission is confirmed and the deposit is paid, turnaround is usually around 1 to 2 weeks per design, depending on the complexity of the design, my current workload, and how quickly I receive feedback.

If there are any delays, I’ll keep you updated.

💸 Payments & Pricing

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your commission slot and begin work.

The remaining balance is due once the final artwork has been approved. Final files are released once the balance has been paid in full.

Paying a deposit secures your booking slot only. It does not give permission to manufacture, sell, publish, edit, reuse, or otherwise use the artwork until the full balance has been paid and the agreed licence is active.

All payments are made by PayPal invoice in GBP (£).

✏️ Revisions

Two revision rounds are included with each commission.

These are usually used as:

• one round of sketch revisions after the initial sketch; and
• one round of minor changes after the cleaned final artwork is supplied.

A revision round means one set of requested changes submitted together.

Additional revisions, major changes, or requests that significantly change the agreed concept may be quoted separately before work continues.

📁 Final Files

You will receive the final artwork files agreed at the start of the project.

For product-based commissions, this usually means a high-resolution, production-ready file suitable for manufacturing.

Vector files are not included unless agreed in advance, as I do not usually work in vector-based programmes.

🔒 Artwork Usage & Copyright

I retain copyright to all artwork I create unless a full copyright buyout is agreed in writing.

You may not edit, redraw, recolour, crop, trace, reuse, separate, adapt, or create new versions of the artwork without written permission.

This also applies to manufacturers, designers, contractors, employees, or anyone else acting on your behalf.

If you need colour variants, artwork changes, motif reuse, additional product permissions, or extra file setup, please contact me first. Additional fees may apply.

Where practical, please credit Lula Rocks as the artist/illustrator/creator when sharing the artwork publicly, such as on social media or product listings.

If the artwork is used to create physical products, I’d love to see the results. You’re welcome to send high-quality photos once your items are made. I may share them on my website or social media, with credit to your brand where possible.

I will not share commissioned work publicly before an agreed launch date if one has been discussed.

🙅 Cancellations & Refunds

If you cancel before I begin work, your deposit may be transferred to a future project, subject to availability.

If work has already started, the deposit is non-refundable.

If I need to cancel your project for any reason, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.

🌈 Style & Expectations

I only take on commissions that suit my existing illustration style. Please browse my portfolio before enquiring to make sure my work is a good fit for your project.

I do not accept requests to copy another artist’s style.
